Dr. Marcus Schriefers, M.C.L.

Dr. Schriefers has been a partner in the Stuttgart office of our law firm since January 2011. He comes originally from the corporate and antitrust law sector, which was the primary focus of his work during the first ten years of his professional career. Then, in the course of client development, logistics and transport law were added. Today his main emphasis is on sales law, especially sales antitrust law, usually in connection with (but frequently also on its own) the drafting of contracts for the actual movement of goods, i.e. logistics law, which is in turn comprised of services and transport law.

Dr. Schriefers works predominantly in the area of drafting contracts. He develops contracts, and also assists with the respective projects, for example the entering into a joint venture, the procedures for outsourcing a logistics department or also for creating a completely new concept for a business in Germany or Europe. In individual cases, Dr. Schriefers also undertakes representation of clients in court in decisive cases concerning transport law.

Moreover, Dr. Schriefers is involved in the arena of the International Union of Lawyers (Union Internationale des Avocats), one of the largest international lawyer organizations that concerns itself especially with the defence of, and also the further development of, the rights and professional conditions of the legal profession.
