November 2009
On 30 june 2009 „Stadtwerke München“ introduced the first solar power plant in collaboration with „Gehrlicher Solar AG“ In Lauingen an der Donau
The power plant in Swabia produces 10.6 Mio. kilowatt hours per year on an area that corresponds to more that 40 soccer fields. This satisfies the annual power re-quirement of 4000 households. The power plant is one of the biggest of its kind in Germany. Further projects are currently being planned – as part of Stadtwerke München’s aim to produce enough green electricity by means of its own power plants to satisfy the power requirement of the entire state capital Munich. In order to reach this goal, Stadtwerke München will invest several billion Euros.
Heussen partner Dr. Georg Anders has been advising the Gehrlicher Solar AG for several years now, inter alia with the implementation of a “Civil Fund” for the installation of an open area power plant in Haar/Munich as well as currently with the planning of further projects with Stadtwerke München.
