Foundation of the first business company

On the same day of the introduction of the new company form JKV Media became the first business company in Germany. From a legal point of view the formation was overseen by HEUSSEN Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH.

JKV Media UG (limited liability) is hosting the Internet portal www.APennyForThought.com, which is based on an innovative business concept. The portal offers a platform for the exchange of ideas and thoughts and participates active users in 50 % of the profits from advertising revenue.

The possibility to form a business company was allowed for by the Limited Liability Company Law, which came into force on 1 November 2008.

The major advantage of a business company compared with the limited liability company is that its formation is possible with an initial capital of only 1 €. Dr. Thomas Griebel and Dr. Georg F. Schröder oversaw the formation from a legal point of view. They expect heavy demand for this company form: “Due to its easy formation and low initial capital requirement the business company is suited well for young and ground breaking entrepreneurs. The business company is also appealing for founders with sufficient capital who want to avoid high capital commitment.”
